"Wisdom means to choose now what will make sense later."

In an effort to make my blog a little more "me", I've decided to start doing more personal posts. Like about things going on in my life... I never wanted this blog to strictly become about beauty and nail polish and I think thats where my rut has come from. In my first really personal post, I just want to showcase some moments from the last month or so... For those that have followed for awhile, two of my really good friends had babies back to back. Marissa had Wyatt on November 23rd, and my "sister" Spen'sar had Laila Lee on January 4th. So, needless to say, my life has become about babies. And I wouldn't really change it for anything. There aren't really any greater feelings to me right now, than walking in their houses and getting to hold them, and rock them to sleep. I have ALWAYS loved babies. But I always manage to come into the picture after babies are 1 or 2. So, Wyatt and Laila are really my first experience with newborns, and I wouldn't change it for the world. So, without further adieu... I want to showcase my niece and nephew.

This is a picture I edited (most of my pictures I do edit with my iPhone) of mine and Laila's first meeting. She was born on January 4th, but I didn't get to hold her the first time until January 9th. Mommy and baby had a rough beginning, but I'm pleased to say that they're both doing much much better, and Laila has received a clean bill of health!

Laila. January 15th.

Laila. January 15th. One of my more favorite pictures ever.

Wyatt. One of my more favorite pictures of him.. January 15th.

He's already grown so much :(

I hope this post finds everyone doing well.... :)

Potential blog sale?

Sunday, January 22, 2012
Just a quick little post... I'm actually looking at all my nail polish today, and for some reason I'm really disgusted with the amount I have, but can't wear because I have too many... I'd rather give them new homes than continue to hold on to them just to have a huge stash... so my question is this: are there any of you, my lovely beautiful readers, that would be interested in taking a look at a blog sale if I put one up and seeing if there is anything you want? I'd make my prices fairly cheap cuz honestly I just want to get rid of some of them, but can't see just giving them away knowing how much I've paid for all this.

"You never know how strong you are... until being strong is the only choice you have."

My sincerest  apologies for disappearing off of my blog.. I haven't even done thankful thursday and I've always been religious about that... Its been a tough few months, just when I seem to get one thing straightened out, something else goes horribly wrong.. I'm trying my hardest not to get discouraged, but such is life, I suppose. I'm facing some major health issues.. I've had chronic migraines since I was in a car accident when I was 16, and they're getting progressively worse, so I feel like a test subject going through all these things to find the right combinations of medicines to help me. I'll tell ya... I wouldn't wish migraine headaches on anyone. I've spent many a night crying because the pain was so horrendous and NOTHING alleviates the pain except suffering through it until it goes away.

Its a really depressing thing to go through, actually. Because you never really know what your triggers are... I've learned, though, that my main triggers are the weather, and even mild stress. Once the weather breaks and we dont have rainy cold days, I feel 10x's better. And if I watch my stress levels extremely closely, I tend to get less headaches. Its absolutely a life change to manage these things. My mom and grandma both suffered with them until they were in their middle 30's... I'm hoping I'm not that unfortuante.

So enough of the depressing talk. I'm really really going to attempt to get my blog back on track with nail polish, beauty stuff, and even personal stuff... I'm trying to refrain from buying many beauty products or nail polish, because my medical bills are stacking up, but.... nail polish and makeup ALWAYS make me feel better.. so I figure if I don't go TOO overboard.. then its justifiable... :) My goal is to only get one of my lemmings a month... instead of buying every single nail polish that I think I HAVE to have.. the only collection coming out soon that i HAVE to have.. is the hunger games collection (or whatever name theyve chosen now) from china glaze... i absolutely LOVEEEE those books, so I can't wait to wear some of the colors on my nailsies.

I'm also on a personal challenge inspired by Annelise over at Bye Bye Beehive. I've tweaked it a little, because I have curly hair so its a little more difficult... but my challenge to myself is to basically go 6 to 12 months without ANY heat styling on my hair... except for special occasions or if I get my highlights redone. I've done this for about a week and I've noticed a considerable change in my hair.

I thank you all for hanging with me... :) I dont have very many followers, and thats fine with me... I feel its more "personal" this way.. :) <3 you all... Hope you're doing well.

Thankful Thursday.

This week I am especially thankful for:

Myself and my sissy.

The birth of my niece, Laila Lee... 1/4/12. Please say a prayer for her and her mommy tonight... they are struggling. I haven't gotten to meet her yet, but I already know I'm going to fall in love with her. She has her mama's strength.

Thank you. :)

Listening to Laila in her mommy's belly.

What are you thankful for this week?

"It doesn't happen all at once. You become. It takes a long time."
~Margery Williams

Since I didn't really get into the whole nail polish thing until about August or September, I can't really reflect back on the year with nail polish... Just as a fun little post I decided to show you guys the year through my hair.. I really honestly did not realize how many times I changed my hair this year until I went to grab pictures for this post... I dont make resolutions every year.. I somehow always fall short. This year my goals are just to continue on my journey of patience, try to buy a little less polish, and attempt to slow down on the chemical treatments on my hair.

My goal as far as nail polish this year, is to limit myself to two or three every paycheck. I had a budget of 25.00 per paycheck, butttt... I blew that out of the water in the month of December. I have goals to pay off a lot of things due to some things coming up, so I'm trying to cut back on buying frivolous things. Nail polish though is sort of my outlet when I need to emotional shop... it keeps me from buying more expensive things, lol.

I hope that the New Year finds you all well, and that she brings nothing but good to each of your lives... :) And THANK YOU for continuing to follow me.. you each brighten my day :)
